Vilma Perozak, 92 years of age, of Blairmore, AB passed away at the Crowsnest Pass Continuing Care Centre on October 9, 2026.
She was born in Bellevue on June 18, 1934, to Joseph and Mary Vysohlid. She was the third of three children. After high school, she attended Business College in Calgary and worked secretarial duties at West Canadian Collieries and Coleman Collieries, finishing her working years with Alberta Forestry Services in Blairmore. In retirement, she volunteered many years at the Woman’s Resource Centre in Blairmore.
Vilma married John Perozak in 1954 and moved to Blairmore, AB where they celebrated 63 years of marriage. She was a dedicated wife and loving mother. She loved camping, fishing, hunting, and gardening. She also loved animals, especially her pet cats and dogs, spending many hours walking them on the trails behind her house.
Vilma is survived by two children: David and Wesley (Beverly). She was predeceased by her brother Stanley, sister Francis, mother Mary, father Joseph, and husband John. At her request there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be gratefully accepted by the Alzheimer Society. (www.alzheimer.ca).
