With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Terrance “Terry” Glavin, who passed away peacefully on October 29, 2026, at Chinook Regional Hospital at the age of 71.
Terry was born in Creston, British Columbia, on August 13, 1955, to Gordon and Lucy Glavin.
Terry worked as a Journeyman Electrician at Fording River until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, reading, photography, and travelling. He had a strong sense of independence and his own unique outlook on life. Terry will be remembered for his resilience, determination, and the way he chose to live life on his own terms.
Left to cherish his memory are his siblings: Lynda Glavin, Gordon (Doreen) Glavin, Michael (Kim) Glavin, Brian Glavin, and Leanne Glavin. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew: Amanda (Lucas) Greavette, David (Katie) Glavin, and Maria (Dustin) Voeller, along with numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Terry was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Lucy Glavin, and his brother, John Glavin.
Terry had a fondness for The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, a book that reflects the importance of living in the present moment and appreciating what each day brings. Its message, “Realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have,” offers a fitting sentiment to remember him by.
Terry will be remembered for his strength, individuality, and his own unique way of seeing the world.
