The Force was strong in this one…

We lost a beautiful soul today, at too young an age. Deborah Ann Labbe passed away on October 22, 2026, after a long and hard fought battle with health issues.

She is survived by her loving husband Ron of 54 years, her son Rod, (Kelly), daughter Kelli (Gary), grandchildren Avery, Brenna, Hawksley & Atlee. Also, her siblings, Mickey, Judy, Lynn, Margo, Mark, and Gary in addition to her closest & dearest friends Shirley & Guy.

Debbie and Ron spent their lives together marrying as teens, traveling, and working around the world, embarking on many adventures. Debbie was Ron’s world and whom he spent his life with.

Debbie loved spending time with her 4 grandchildren, Avery, Brenna, Hawksley, and Atlee. Cooking, crafting, doing puzzles, playing Yahtzee and Uno, fishing, sharing stories or just talking to each of them about their days. She had a special way of making her grandkids feel heard and understood.

She always found a way to care for those around her. Celebrating all the holidays with a house full of food, decorations & laughter. She loved cooking & baking, and there was always food on the table anytime anyone stopped by. The 3 full freezers and 30lbs of butter speak for themselves. Her homemade cooking like Perogies, Papricakash Chicken, Porcupine balls, Wontons, birthday cakes and not to mention if you were fortunate enough to get a hold of some of her homemade peanut butter cups, cheesecakes, or turtles, are just a few of the things we will remember.

She has touched the lives of so many people. Whether helping raise half the kids in Pineview, to corralling kids on the pool deck, to selling her crochet at craft shows. And some of you may have been fortunate enough to see her television debut on the kids show, Romper Room. Where she was at all times, a “Good Do Bee.”

Do not be sad, celebrate the memories you had with Debbie and the good times shared. There was also the cheeky banter, or the motherly “put some socks on, it’s winter” or 5pm-6pm supper hour (if you know, you know...lol) or how about the holiday cards, filled with teeny tiny confetti that would fall on the floor, and you’d still find pieces 2months later, those were beauties.

Mom, we know you are looking down upon us now saying “Can you hear me NOW?” and our response is “Yes, we can, always and forever.”

We would like to share our appreciation for the people that supported Mom over the past years. This includes Dr. Rogers in the Pass, and from Lethbridge; Dr. Razavi, and Nurse Katie at the Jack Ady Centre, as well as Dr. Wong, and Dr. Stover. Our heartfelt thanks go out to the Comfort and Care Team at the Crowsnest Pass Hospital. Without this incredible team, Mom may not have been able to stay with us as long as she did. They went above and beyond to provide her with compassionate care, comfort, and support every step of the way. We will always be grateful for everything they did for Mom and our family.

Donations can be made to your charity of choice as all are in need. Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
