It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wanda Joy Williams (nee: Caldwell) of Coleman, Alberta who was called to be with the Lord on September 16, 2013 at the age of 62 years while receiving care at the Crowsnest Pass Health Care Centre.

Wanda was born on June 20, 1951 in Cardston, Alberta to proud parents, Lyle and Frances Caldwell. Along with her brothers and sisters, she was raised to appreciate the love of family, the comfort of friends, and to never take life’s blessings for granted.

On December 27, 1969, Wanda married the love of her life, Grant Williams, and they were blessed with a loving family of their own. Wanda dedicated her life to nurturing and caring for her family and their house was filled with love and laughter. She enjoyed her time with her family but she still made time to volunteer countless hours at community events and aid with the York Creek Lodge Seniors Centre.

Wanda had many interests that included horseback riding, camping, quading & boating, and she was a shopping machine who could always find the very best bargains. She was a wonderful and gracious hostess who loved to cook and keep her guests entertained with her wonderful sense of humour; you always felt at home when you were with Wanda. Her true passion was her family, especially her grandkids and she was happiest when surrounded by them. She was a feisty and determined lady who was loved by all who knew her. Although she is now gone from our eyes, she will remain forever in our hearts.

Those left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life include her devoted husband, Grant Williams of Coleman, AB; her loving children, Dustin Williams and Carman (Robert) Graf of Lundbreck, AB; her precious grandchildren, Katelyn (Kirk) George, Gareth Williams, Reid Mosby, Chandler Graf and Carley Graf; her siblings, Sylvia Woodford-Coe of Lethbridge, Gloria Huscroft of Creston, Genevene (Barton) Heggie of Raymond, Vaughn (Irene) Caldwell of Lethbridge, Louis (Glenna) Caldwell of Fort MacLeod and Bonnie (Terry) Phillips of Coalhurst; her cherished canine companion, Bailey; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends, especially Tammy Wall.

The Funeral Service honouring Wanda’s life was held on Monday, September 23, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Bellevue, AB at 1:00 p.m. Interment followed at the Passburg Union Cemetery and the reception graciously hosted by the members of the Church. Branch President Barry Hummelle providing compassionate guidance. Pallbearers were: Chandler Graf, Gareth Williams, Reid Mosby, Kirk George, Abe Caldwell & Kirk Caldwell. Honourary Pallbearers were: Kim Owen, Josh Caldwell, Jared Caldwell & Clint Caldwell.
