It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Viola Ivadeen Bohle, formerly of Crowsnest Pass, Alberta. Viola left this world peacefully on February 14, 2014 at the Chinook Regional Hospital at 90 years of age.
Viola was born on June 17, 1923 in Edgewood, British Columbia to proud parents, Edward and Alice Rusch. One of three children, Viola was raised with a great appreciation for family and friends and the simple pleasures in life. In 1925, the Rusch family relocated to the Crowsnest Pass. Viola grew into a lovely young lady, and on March 6, 1945, she married Ray Bohle and the couple were blessed with two wonderful children.
Viola found great enjoyment in crafting, tending to her garden and volunteering at the Coleman library. She was also a member of the Busy Bees Sewing Club where she spent many happy hours sewing and visiting with friends. Viola took great pride in caring for her home and family. Her most treasured moments were spent with her family, especially her cherished grandchildren. Viola may be gone from our eyes, but she will remain forever in our hearts.
Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life include her loving children, Ivan (Norma) Bohle of Terrace, B.C. and Joan (John) Marra of Lethbridge, AB; her grandchildren, Ian (C.J.), Darren, Sean (Tara), Julie (Corey) and Joelle (Joel); her great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Alison, Elias, Alexander, Arden, Blake and Atley; as well as the many friends that she made throughout her lifetime.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ray; her parents, Edward and Alice; her brother, Morris Rusch; her sister, Goldie Kostyniuk; and her special friend, Joe Czech. By request of the family, no funeral service will be held. Cremation occurred at Fantin’s Funeral Chapel’s private crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of the late Viola Bohle will be gratefully accepted by the Crowsnest Pass Health Foundaion, Bag 1, Blairmore, AB T0K 0E0.
