It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing Vincent Orion David Watson Greer, born into this world on March 2, 2021 and lifted up into our Lord’s embrace on March 8, 2021 while receiving care at the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary.
Vincent’s life was a blessing to us all and his passing renders us with immense grief. Although our faith allows us to go on, our sorrow grips us with heartache. We have a greater understanding of the importance of family, friends and precious moments together.
Vincent was very fond of hugs and cuddles, tender songs from Mummy and Daddy, the Disney film “The Lion King” and of the love that surrounded him every minute of the day.
Left to mourn his passing and hold his memory in their hearts include his mother, Heather Greer; his father, Eldon Watson; his grandparents, Shona Borthwick, Bob & Lorna Watson, Celosia Wright and Scott Greer; his great grandparents, Ronnie Borthwick and Paulette Mason; and his many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his great grandparents, Hank Borthwick, May & Bill Greer and Carrie Mason.
We will honour Vincent’s life with a service at a later date when the pandemic restrictions are finally lifted. Donations in memory may be made to the Ronald MacDonald House or to the Alberta Children’s Hospital (incredible and compassionate organizations that we cannot thank enough).
