The family of Tim “Duff” Allan is extremely saddened to announce that Tim passed away suddenly from an aneurism on December 1, 2014 in the Crowsnest Pass. Tim was a very gentle person who enjoyed spending his time with friends, as they were very important to him, watching sports on TV, and going hunting with his buddies in the fall. He was a long-standing member of the Bellevue Legion, and proudly participated in many of their activities and ceremonies. As a small child he lived at the Willow Creek Ranger Station, then moved to Hillcrest to start school. As a young man, he went to work in the coalmines, and due to an unforeseen accident, he tragically lost an arm. His determination and courteous manner allowed him to gain employment as a security guard at the Crowsnest Hospital and he has called the Pass home his entire life.
Tim is survived by his sister, Marlene Zboya (Francis); brother, Andy (Brenda) Allan; his only relatives living in the Pass, Iris & Duncan McEwan and their sons Kevin and Paul; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and his many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Doug & Jean Allan and nephew Douglas Zboya.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tim’s memory to the Bellevue Legion, PO Box 58, Bellevue, AB T0K 0C0.
As per Tim’s wishes his remains will be interred in Scotland beside his parents in the family section of the cemetery.
