It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley Wynder of Coleman, Alberta who peacefully passed away on December 8, 2013 at the Crowsnest Pass Health Care Centre. She enjoyed sixty years of life.
Shirley was born on July 3, 1953 in Cardston, Alberta to William & Jean Wynder. She was raised with great love and affection and learned at a very early age to be independent and insightful. She grew to be an amazing young woman who entered into the construction industry and proved to be talented, hardworking and fun. Her adventurous nature led her to many parts of the globe visiting several countries and making many friends along the way. A loyal friend with a determined character and witty sense of humour, she will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
She is survived by her siblings, Carolyn (Jim) Bester, Bruce Wynder (predeceased by Bruce’s wife, Meredith) and Monte (Helen) Wynder; fourteen precious nieces and nephews; and the many friends she made throughout her lifetime.
She was predeceased by her parents, William & Jean Wynder.
The Memorial Service honouring Shirley’s life was held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Hill Spring, Alberta with Bishop Cannon Smith presiding. Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of the late Shirley Wynder may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
