It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Roy Frederick Hill of Bellevue, Alberta who passed away on January 1, 2014 in the Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge, Alberta at the age of 69 years.
Roy was born on May 25, 1944 in Hillcrest, Alberta to Fred and Helen Hill. He always considered himself blessed to live in the Crowsnest Pass and never lost his admiration for this natural mountain community. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and exploring the backwoods. He was always talented at various sports and played, coached and supported hockey, baseball and fastball to name a few.
Roy fell in love with a lovely and graceful young lady, Sylvia Lucchini, and they pledged their love with marriage on May 31, 1969. They raised a family of three sons with unconditional love. Roy was very proud of his boys and taught them several of his skills in sports and the competitive drive that he was famous for. He adored his family, the friendly people of the Pass and loved to make you smile and laugh. He was a very special man whom we all shall miss dearly but remember fondly. May he rest in the arms of our Lord in peace and happiness.
