With broken hearts we announce the passing of Rosina Olivieri on July 28, 2026, at Peaks To Pines Senior Lodge, Coleman, AB. She was 92 years of age.
Rosina was born on January 7, 1934, in Cantalupo nel Sannio, Isernia, Italy to parents, Fiore and Fiorina. On April 29, 1953, she married the love of her life, Giovanni. Soon after, the happy couple came to Canada, settling in the Crowsnest Pass, AB in November 1953. Here, they made a wonderful life for themselves and their family, as well as countless treasured memories.
Rosina enjoyed gardening, flowers of all kinds, and ranching with her family. Well-known for her homemade wine, cheese, fresh bread, and delicious donuts, her kitchen was always open, and no one ever left her table hungry. As a devout Catholic, Rosina lived her faith with kindness and compassion. She cherished every moment spent with her family and friends, especially her beloved grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and happiness. Rosina’s warmth, hospitality, and loving spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are her sons, Fiore (Anna), Tony (Michelle) and Joey; her grandchildren, Sarina (Frank), Tiffany (Travis), Stacey (Dave), Mara, David (Allura), Aaron (Erin) and Kelvin; her great-grandchildren, Brody, Mira, Avery, Logan, Elias, Lars and Odin; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Giovanni “John” Olivieri; her parents, Fiore & Fiorina Olivieri; and her siblings, Maria (Gino) Morotoli, Vittorio (Lina) Olivieri and Christina (Albino) Sagrafena.
A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00pm on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, and a Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, August 6, 2026, both at the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church (13126 – 21 Ave., Blairmore, AB) with Fr.
