We are rejoicing for Rose Kane who went to be with the Lord on August 18, 2015 at the age of 87 years.

Rose was born on December 7, 1927 in Cornwall, ON to proud parents Charles and Mabel Barnes. Having a wonderful friendship with Jesus, Rose decided to attend the Western Pentecostal Bible College from 1972 to 1974. There, she met the wonderful man who would become her husband, Ed Kane, and the two became one when they were joined in holy matrimony on September 1, 1974 in Yellowknife, NWT. They stayed in Yellowknife for six years, ministering at the Native Mission. From there they moved to Edmonton where they remained for six years ministering at their local church and working various jobs. In October 1986, they moved to the beautiful Crowsnest Pass where they enjoyed retirement surrounded by God’s majestic creation. They both grew closer to the Lord and began attending the Crowsnest Community Christian Centre and ministered to all who knew them.

Rose was a very special servant of the Lord who interceded in prayer for all. Jesus is sure to have welcomed her with open arms and these words: “Well done my good and faithful servant.”

Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are her sister, Marion of St. Catherine’s, ON; her stepchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; her good friend, Heidi Gahler; as well as the countless people whose lives she touched throughout her life.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ed on May 12, 1999; her parents, Charles and Mabel; her sister, Janet; and her brothers, Jim and Fred.

A memorial service honouring her life will be held at the Crowsnest Community Christian Centre (8534, 24. Ave., Coleman, AB) on September 24, 2015 at 1:00pm with Pastor Al Robinson and Bill White officiating. Donations in memory of Rose will be gratefully accepted by the Crowsnest Lake Bible Camp (P. O. Box 250, Coleman, AB T0K 0M0). Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
