Beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend passed away in the Crowsnest Pass Health Centre on July 20, 2017. Phyllis was born in Lethbridge, AB on June 11, 1930 to Robert and Mary Graham. At the time of her passing, she was survived by her sons, Rene (Patty) of Revelstoke, BC and Robert (Kathy) of Victoria, BC; four grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Otto Comin; daughter, Rhonda; and older brother, John Graham.
Phyllis was left to raise three young children on her own after the sudden passing of Otto in 1964 and despite this tragedy and many others encountered in her life, she continued to find joy in serving and loving others unconditionally. Her home was always a peaceful refuge from the world where one could find a listening ear, encouraging words and coffee that was sometimes hot. Memories of time spent with her, her life of service, her unconditional love, and her hugs will be cherished by family and friends for generations.
A Memorial Service celebrating Phyllis’s life was held on July 22, 2017 and she was interned in the Coleman Catholic Cemetery with her husband and daughter. Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
