It is with the heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Lassey of Frank, Alberta. Patricia passed away peacefully on June 9, 2014

at the Crowsnest Pass Health Care Centre at the age of 77 years.

Patricia was born on June 3, 1937 in Edmonton, Alberta to proud parents, Albert and Gertrude Phelan. Patricia blossomed into lovely young lady who married and was blessed with three wonderful children. She not only cared for them but for the people of this community in her role as a registered nurse at the hospital. She was a compassionate, self-sacrificing and resilient woman who cared for us and was our inspiration.

Patricia found great enjoyment in fishing, playing Bingo, bird watching, camping, traveling, sight seeing, and watching horse racing. Patricia took great pride in caring for her children; she was their mentor and best friend. Although she may be gone from our eyes, but she will remain forever in our hearts.

Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life include her loving children Doug (Willa) Lassey of Sparwood, BC and Carol Lassey of Frank, AB; her grandchildren Sasha Lassey, Christopher Willoughby, Eric Willoughby, Cassandra Lassey, Alexandra Halton, Nolan Lassey, Nathan Lassey and Aaron Lassey; her great grandchildren Aislyn Wheelock, Kiera Wheelock, Tye Dodds, Bella Dodds, Amber Willoughby and Noah Willoughby; her great great grandchild Cash McCabe; her brothers Brian (Jan) Phelan of Bon Accord, Barry (Faith) Phelan of Edmonton and Bruce (Linda) Phelan of Calgary; her dearest friends Jean Beilman and Audrey Hunerfauth; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family; as well as the many friends that she made throughout her lifetime. She was predeceased by her parents Albert and Gertrude Phelan and by her son Michael Roy Lassey.

A private family ceremony honouring Patricia’s life will be held this summer. Cremation occurred at the Fantin's Funeral Chapel’s private crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Patricia Lassey will be greatly accepted by the charity of your choice. Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
