KINNEAR, Agnes (Nancy) Jean
March 13, 1954 – May 16, 2015
It is with immense regret that the family of Nancy Kinnear announce that on May 16, 2015 our much loved Nancy passed on to eternal life. While she had a shorter life than we wished for her, she lived it to the fullest. She leaves to celebrate her life her devoted partner, Louis Lecerf and his sons Jon, Greg and Curtis and Nancy’s sons BJ (Shelby) and Jordy Trotz, her grandchildren Wyatt Trotz and Linda Jean Trotz, her sister Betty (Jock) Dodds, and her brothers John (Lorraine) Kinnear and Billy (Sandra) Kinnear. She was predeceased by her brother Alex Kinnear (1971), her parents John Kinnear (2000) and Marie Kinnear (2007) and her niece Stacy Dodds also in 2007.
Nancy had a devout and unwavering faith, as well as genuine humility, integrity, and humour. She gave of herself unsparingly to her many devoted friends and found the best in others. Nancy gave gifts of the heart: delicious perogies, pies and muffins, wonderful crocheted afghans, and the bounty of her garden. She loved to spend winters camping in the Arizona desert with Lou where they met and engaged other talented musicians at multiple desert jams.
She was a force for good and a role model for us all. Nancy’s preferred and most effective communication was musical, as anyone who has heard her soaring voice can attest. While Nancy loved sharing her musical talents and jamming with fellow musicians, it was her delight to perch with her guitar in a corner of Popiel’s Restaurant on Saturday nights and enthrall diners with her pure vocal selections.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Blairmore, Alberta (13126-21st Ave) on Saturday, May 23,2015 at 11:00am with Deacon Renso Castellarin officiating. Nancy will be laid to rest in the Passburg Cemetery.
Should you so wish, memorial donations to the Crowsnest Pass Health Foundation (Bag 1, Blairmore, AB T0K 0E0) would be welcome and appreciated
“Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure
You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.”
