DAVID MILES BANNICK
(1948-2013)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Miles Bannick of Coleman, Alberta who passed away on June 28, 2013 at the Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge, Alberta at the age of 65 years.
David Miles Bannick was born on February 24,1948 in Pincher Creek, AB to David Sr. and Ruth Bannick. He worked throughout his life as a heavy equipment operator in the coal mining industry. He was blessed with a family and his heart was full with the love he found for a dear woman and his soul mate, Debbie June Heyland. Deb and Miles were married on October 15,1992.
Miles will always be remembered for his zest for life, his charming sense of humour and abundance of laughter, his kindness for animals from ducks and dogs to hares and horses, his adoration for his family, and his talent for tinkering. Miles was a member of the Lions Pride Club, supported his son by volunteering with the Beavers and Army Cadets and was a loyal friend to many people in our community.
Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life include his loving wife, Deb Bannick of Coleman; his cherished children; Stephen (Cara) Bannick of Pincher Creek, Rhonda Pisony of Creston, B.C., Jason (Mariann) McGuire of Sherwood Park, AB and Jody McGuire; his precious grandchildren, Sadie & Dominick Bannick, Cody & Kara Brown and Ryan & Matt McGuire; his mother, Ruth Bannick of Coleman; as well as the many extended family members and friends that he made throughout his lifetime, especially his Yorkshire Terrier, Jolene.
He was predeceased by his father David Bannick Sr, his canine companion Brandy and cockatiel, Chicky.
A private family visitation was held at Fantin's Funeral Chapel in Blairmore. Cremation followed at Fantin’s private crematorium.
