MIKE RITROVATO
(1954 – 2014)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Ritrovato of Coleman, AB. He was 60 years of age.
Mike was born on June 24, 1954 in Blairmore, AB to proud parents Maria and Antonio Ritrovato. Along with his siblings, he was raised to work hard and to appreciate the blessings you were given, no matter how large or small.
Mike had many hobbies and interests that kept him busy including watching wrestling on television, playing video games, working on his computer and keeping in touch with his family and friends via texting. Above all else, Mike treasured his family. He loved nothing more than spending time with them and would often plan family gatherings so everyone could be together.
Mike was confronted with two heart surgeries during his life, but he faced them as he faced all of his challenges – with courage and determination. He may be gone from this world, but his spirit and loving nature will live on forever.
He is survived by his sisters, Nancy D’ Oria of London, ON, Phyllis Niewold of Powell River, BC, Joanne (David) Liddell of Coleman, AB and Gloria (Brian) Wall of Taber, AB; his brothers, Peppy (Darlene) Ritrovato of Edmonton, AB and Jake Ritrovato of Coleman, AB; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and the many friends he made throughout his life.
He was predeceased by his parents, Maria & Antonio Ritrovato.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church (13126 – 21 Ave., Blairmore, AB) with Fr. Ben Marino as Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mike will be gratefully accepted by the Crowsnest Pass Health Foundation (Bag 1, Balirmore, AB T0K 0E0) or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Southern Alberta (P.O.
