In loving memory
“MAY” GREER
(1942-2013)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mary “May” Greer, beloved wife of Bill Greer, on April 14, 2013. She was 70 years of age.
May was born on December 5, 1942 in Dundee, Scotland to Alexander and Margaret Graham. On July 27, 1968, she married the love of her life, William “Bill” Greer. They immigrated to Canada in 1971 and settled in the Crowsnest Pass in October of 1972. May and Bill were blessed with two fine sons and worked hard to provide for their family.
May was modest, good-natured and had an excellent sense of humour. Her spirited debates with Bill were always witty, entertaining and light-hearted. She also loved solving puzzles, watching her Toronto Blue Jays play on the television and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy and her greatest desire was to see them grow to have happy and successful lives. She will always be fondly remembered and dearly missed.
Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are her husband, Bill Greer of Blairmore, AB; her sons, Scott Greer of Jinan, China and Ian Greer of Coleman, AB; her grandchildren, Heather Borthwick, MacKenzie Farnham and Alex Greer; her siblings, Bill Graham and Margaret Ryan of Dundee, Scotland; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
With respect for the family’s wishes, no funeral services will be held. Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca and donations in May’s memory may be directed to the Kidney Foundation of Canada (Calgary Chapter), 6007, 1A Street SW, Calgary, AB, T2H 0G5.
