It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Jean Clark, of Bellevue, AB. Linda was to be with the Lord on November 26, 2013 at the Crowsnest Pass Health Care Centre at the age of 63 years.
Linda Jean Trodden was born on September 6, 1950 in Fort MacLeod, AB to Eldon & Gertrude Trodden. One of seven children, she was raised on the family farm and given responsibilities and challenges, she learned to appreciate the satisfaction of a job well done. She was a member of the 4H Club and won many awards for her quality livestock. Her earnest work ethic and compassionate and nurturing nature pointed her career towards nursing. She chose the vocation of a Licensed Practicing Nurse receiving her training in High River and completing her Practicum in Ponoka. She immediately became employed at the Misacordia Hospital in Edmonton for several years and various nursing homes. She also worked for a brief time for Grimshaw Trucking in the dispatch office.
Linda blossomed into a lovely young lady who won the heart of a caring and kind young man, Robert Clark, and they were wed on August 2, 1980 in the Catholic Church in Brocket. They were further blessed with two sons whom she cherished above all else. She also enjoyed cooking, camping, dancing, singing karaoke and tending to her horses. Her wonderful sense of humour always had us smiling and forgetting any troubles. She was an excellent listener and was genuinely concerned for the well-being of all those around her. She was a proud member of the Bellevue Legion and volunteered many hours on the executive board.
Linda was very inquisitive about spirituality and our purpose in life; she resolved to enjoy each blessed moment and brave life’s hurdles for we are all meant to love and respect each other and follow the Golden Rule. She was devoted to her husband, adored her children, was a loyal friend to many and will be greatly missed by all.
Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life include her beloved husband Robert Clark of Bellevue; her sons, Brad (Sally) Clark of Bellevue and Brent Clark of St. Albert; her brothers, Gary Trodden of Coleman, Robert Trodden and Roy Trodden of Pincher Creek; her sisters, Carol-Ann (Art) Bedster of Lethbridge, Donna Trodden and Cindy (Jeff) Dwyer of Picher Creek; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family; and the many friends that she made throughout her lifetime.
She was predeceased by her father, Eldon Trodden and her mother, Gertrude Trodden (nee: Myers).
A Celebration Service honouring Linda’s life will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion in Bellevue.
Donation in memory of the late Linda Clark will be gratefully accepted by the Crowsnest Pass Health Foundation “Long Term Care”, Bag 1, Blairmore, AB T0K 0E0.
