Leslie Joan MacPhail
(1956- 2013)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie Joan MacPhail of Blairmore, Alberta. Leslie passed away peacefully at the Crowsnest Pass Health Care Centre on July 21, 2013 after a long battle with cancer at the age of 57 years.
Leslie was born on July 16, 1956 in Blairmore, Alberta to Gordon and Helen MacPhail. She was kind hearted, sociable and loved to laugh and celebrate life. She was admired by many and will be fondly remembered and dearly missed.
She survived by her mother Helen MacPhail; her brothers Bruce (Sherry) and Brent (Penny); her nephews Scott (Karen) and their daughter Brier of Turner Valley and Mathew (Elane) and their son Talyn of Cochrane; her niece Tanya (Lee) Crowe of Lethbridge; her aunt Dolores Risler of Lethbridge; and several cousins; her dear friends Sean (Karla) Lawson, Julie Rayne, Ian MacLeod, Kym and Paul of England and Trudy Hucik of Lethbridge; as well as the many friends that she made throughout her lifetime.
She is predeceased by her father, Gordon MacPhail and several aunts and cousins.
A Celebration of the life of Leslie MacPhail will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 3:00 pm at the Cosmopolitan Restaurant in Blairmore.
