KENNETH JOSEPH WILLOUGHBY
(1957 – 2014)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ken Willoughby who succumbed to his illness on December 25, 2014 at the Crowsnest Pass Health Care Centre. He left this world peacefully on his favourite day of the year in the arms of his loving wife, Yvonne. He was 57 years old.
Ken had many hobbies and pastimes during his life. He enjoyed curling, darts, camping, fishing and listening to music, but his real passion was for playing pool. His exceptional ability and love for the game was proven time and again by the many trophies and tournaments he won. In addition to being well known for his great sense of humour and sarcastic wit, Ken was also a very deep and contemplative thinker. A devoted family man, loyal friend and proud member of the Bellevue Legion; he will be forever missed and always remembered.
Ken is survived by his wife, Yvonne; his two boys, Christopher (Amy) of Peterborough, ON and Eric of Edmonton, AB; as well as Yvonne’s children, Charity (Sean) of Calgary, AB & Levon of Bellevue, AB; his grandchildren, Noah & Amber; his sister, Jenny (Brian) of Cochrane, AB; his brother, Cameron (Elsie) of Hillcrest, AB; his mother-in-law & father-in-law, Carol & Lyle Green of Glenwood, AB; his sisters-in-law, Shaunna (Ed) Cooke & Wanda McClain both of Pincher Creek, AB; his canine companion, Hemi; numerous aunts, uncles cousins and extended family; as well as the many friends he made throughout his life.
He was predeceased by his father, Jack Willoughby on Dec. 29, 2007 and his mother, Midge Willoughby on Feb. 9, 2011.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 3pm at the Passburg Cemetery.
