It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Isobel Kerr at the Crowsnest Pass Health Care Centre on September 13, 2015 at the age of 95 years.
During her long life, she has been many things; a wife, mother, businesswoman, chef, entrepreneur and food manufacturer. She loved hats, poetry, music; read voraciously, took University courses by correspondence and swam every day. She loved competitions and won numerous awards: best restaurant coffee in Canada; most sales of beauty counselor product. She was an inspiring leader who walked her talk, shared her knowledge and extended a hand to others. She held directorships in a number of organization: Canadian Restaurant Association, Alberta Motor Association and Crowsnest Pass Economic Development Board. She endowed scholarship at the High School and University level. She was a person who made things happen.
Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are her son, George Kerr; her daughter Ann Kerr; her daughter-in-law, Linda Kerr; her grandchildren, John Kerr, James Lee Kerr, Jennifer Beeler and Kathy Irwin; her great grandchildren Breanna Beeler, Elizabeth Beeler, Julianne Beeler, Melina Kerr, Zoey Kerr, Nathan Irwin, Daemon Irwin, and Gaelen Irwin; as well as her extended family and countless friends she made throughout her life.
She was predeceased by her husband, John “ Jack” Kerr; her youngest son, John Kerr III; and her brother, George Hanson.
