The family is mourning the loss of Kathleen Loose (nee: Crossie) who passed away on November 24, 2014 at the Crowsnest Pass Health Care Centre at the age of 83 years.
Kathleen was born in Banbridge, Northern Ireland on December 19, 1930. At the age of 17, she came to Canada by ship to stay with relatives in Vulcan, AB. There she met Robert Loose and the couple was married on June 27, 1950. They lived in Vulcan until 1971, moved to Duchess, AB and then settled in the Crowsnest Pass. After moving numerous times, they moved to Strathmore, AB where she enjoyed a strong and loving relationship with her niece and best friend, Kathy Bailie. They relocated to Lethbridge, AB for their retirement. Robert passed away in 2005 and Kathleen moved back to the Crowsnest Pass.
Kathleen is survived by six children, Pat Berg, Bill (Colleen) Loose, Veronica Siray, Dan (Bev) Loose, Marie (Mike) Forget and Valerie (Cory) Velting; eleven grandchildren, Lane Berg, Kristi Gaboury, Robyn Hunt, Sandi Leshenko, Linda Siray, Keli Siray, Jason Loose, Derek Loose, Keith Forget, Steven Forget and Adam Forget; eighteen great grandchildren, Rocky & Roxie Hunt, Airdrie & Ivy Gaboury, Xandria Leshenko, Taylor & Bailey Siray, Morgan Robertson, Kyomi & Kyori, Neveah & Taylin Loose, Madison, Kataly & Tallyn, Victoria, Emily & Jonathan Forget; one great-great grandson, Brody Koci; and her sister, Helen Jorgenson of Calgary, AB. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert; and her siblings, Jim, Gerald, Bridey, Frank, Peggy and Vera.
She also has a large and loving family of nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws in the Red Deer and Calgary areas and Ireland who will also feel the loss of this wonderful and loving lady for a long time to come.
