JOSEPH L. KUBIK
(1926 – 2017)
Joseph Louis Kubik of Blairmore, AB, joined his beloved wife, the late Anne Kubik (née: Loftus), when he passed away peacefully in his home on June 27, 2017. He was 91 years of age.
Joe was born in Blairmore, AB on February 17, 1926 to proud parents, Joseph and Veronica Kubik. He was raised with respect for faith, family and hard, honest work.
Joe won the heart of Anne Loftus and they married with years of devotion, consideration and true love. Blessed with a family of their own, he sacrificed and dedicated his life to their well-being.
In his spare time, Joe enjoyed numerous activities such as woodworking, music and dancing, but his true passion was for his family. The time he spent with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was when he was the happiest and most content. His gentle, kind spirit will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by many.
Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life are his children, Martin (Lynne) Kubik of Regina, Ruth Asling of Lethbridge, Veronica Ancelet of Lethbridge, and Pat Kubik of Lethbridge; his grandchildren, Shane (Jolene), Christine, Brian (Cheryl), Elizabeth (Adam), Trevor (Dawn), and Joe; great grandchildren, Chanta, Kaydance, Lane, Brea, Deklin, Trent, Trinity and Emily; as well as the many friends he made throughout his lifetime.
The Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Parish (13126 – 21 Ave., Blairmore, AB) with Fr. Ben Marino as Celebrant, assisted by Deacon Renso Castellarin. Interment occurred in St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery with Honorary Urn Bearers: Shane, Brian, Trevor Sr. and Trevor Jr. Ancelet, Joey Kubik, Adam Sudo and Christine Aslang. Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted by the Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca), or the Heart and Stroke Foundation (www.heartandstroke.ca).
