It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean Helen Hull of Granum, Alberta, who was called from this world while receiving care at the Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre in Claresholm, Alberta after living 91 years of a glorious life.
Jean was born on September 19, 1923 in Uxbridge, Middlesex, England to Henry and Phyllis Chilton. She was raised with an earnest work ethic and to appreciate all that she had rather than yearn for what she had not. Her compassionate nature led her to a career in nursing where she once again put the needs of others before her own.
Jean blossomed into a lovely and graceful young woman who won the heart of a dashing and charismatic young man and after a brief courtship, they were wed and further blessed with a family of their own.
Later on in her life, Jean remarried a kindly and considerate gentleman, Ronald Ernest Hull, and they immigrated to Canada almost forty years ago settling for a time in Calgary, AB but eventually moving to Granum, AB to enjoy a well-deserved retirement. Jean enjoyed golfing and took an active role on the committee and she was also an avid dart player and resident of the Porcupine Hills Seniors’ Lodge. She led a humble life. She was passionate in her work and determined in her character and most of all, she was dear to us all. May she be forever remembered and at peace.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Christine Miller of the UK; her cherished grandchildren, David (Louise), Dan, Kate and Sam (Sharon); her great grandchildren, Zoe, Alex, Adam and Alice; her brother, Peter (Rosemary) Chilton; her sister-in-law, Barbara Chilton; numerous nieces and nephews, stepdaughter June Fuller, extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Hull; her parents, Henry and Phyllis Chilton; her brother, Gerald Chilton; and her son-in-law, Walt Miller.
