It is with immense grief and sadness that we must announce the passing of Jack Patterson of Coleman, Alberta who died at his residence on October 16, 2013 at the age of 61 years. He was a wonderful man who loved his family, his friends and this community.
John Albert Patterson was born on October 16, 1952 in Blairmore, Alberta to parents, Jack & Peggy Patterson. He was always a reserved and meticulous young man who enjoyed playing hockey, golf and traveling.
Jack fell in love with a lovely young lady, Lesley Dawne Sedgman, and they were married. He was blessed with a family to care for and was a devoted father who did his best to be involved in their lives.
Jack took pride in his work and gained employment with the Saratoga gas plant, the local golf course and most recently, working for the Municipality of the Crowsnest Pass as the Safety Coordinator. His integrity, compassion and devotion will be forever admired. He enjoyed many fine moments in his life and suffered many challenges and strife but through it all he will be fondly remembered and cherished by his family, friends and members of our community.
Jack will live in our hearts always.
Those left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life include his best friend, Lesley Patterson of Calgary, AB; his step-children, Tracy McGuire of Cranbrook, BC and Mick McGuire of Edmonton, AB; his sister, Lenore (David) Northey of Lethbridge, AB; his nephew, Jesse Northey of Lethbridge, AB; his niece, Ashley Northey of Lethbridge, AB; and his extended family and loyal friends.
He was predeceased by his loving parents, Jack & Peggy Patterson.
