In loving memory
IDA PRUDEN
(1930-2013)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ida Pruden (nee: Ancelet) of Coleman, Alberta on April 9, 2013 at the Crowsnest Pass Health Care Centre at the age of 82 years.
Ida was born on April 14, 1930 in Coleman, Alberta. She was raised with a respect for others, an appreciation for the majestic beauty of the Crowsnest Pass and the love of family.
Ida grew to be a lovely young woman and at the age of seventeen years, she was crowned CNP Rodeo Princess. Her beauty and grace were noteworthy but her greatest gift was her family. Ida was charismatic, sentimental and caring; she treasured every gift and act of kindness. Her genuine interest in people was sincere and her ability to converse and make a new friend was a wonder. She amazed her family with her ability to make a short story an epic tale. She was an avid hockey fan, gardener, storyteller as well as a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
She leaves to mourn her passing and celebrate her life her children, Dane (Bonnie) Milton of Summerland, BC, Rodney (Linda) Milton of Brooks, AB and Tim (Marni) Pruden of Medicine Hat, AB; her grandchildren, Craig, Angela, Cody, Jacey, Jolene and Tanner; cherished great grandchildren; her sister, Mary McPherson of Calgary; numerous nieces & nephews, extended family and friends including her very special friend Marilyn Milton.
With respect for Ida’s final wishes, no funeral service will be held. A Memorial gathering honouring her memory will occur on May 4, 2013 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Coleman Legion.
