IDA DEZORZI
1931-2014
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ida Dezorzi of Bellevue, Alberta who was called to be with the Lord on March 3, 2014 while receiving care at the Crowsnest Pass Health Care Centre in Blairmore. Ida celebrated 82 years of life.
Born on July 29, 1931 in East Coulee, Alberta to parents Joseph and Julia Repas, Ida and her two brothers were raised with a great appreciation for family, faith and community. She was taught to work hard and appreciate what you had rather than what you had not.
Ida blossomed into a lovely and graceful young lady. She won the affection of a dashing young man, Luigi Dezorzi, and they pledged their love in holy matrimony. They were further blessed with a precious daughter to fill their hearts and make their house a home. They provided for their new family by owning and operating a service station where long and hard work was performed every day and night. Ida was a devoted wife, caring mother and dear friend. Her life became even better with the birth of her granddaughter Sherry Lynn whom she dearly cherished. She was happy and content until her husband’s death in 1985.
After many years alone, Ida found love once more in the eyes of a gentle and compassionate man, Bernard Gramacci. They loved to dance the night away, travel and socialize. She still could not slow down and kept a meticulously clean home and enjoyed every moment with family and friends. She was a wonderful woman with a heart of pure gold. May she be forever remembered and loved.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Diane (Greg) Friesen of Frank, AB; her precious granddaughter, Sherry Lynn Friesen of Vancouver, BC; her nephews, Robert (Barbara) Repas, Randy (Kate) Repas, Stacey (Candice) Repas; her niece, Celia Long; her cousin Teresa Galicz and family Deanna & Robbie (Doreen); her sister-in-law, Marilyn Repas; as well as the many friends she made throughout her lifetime. She was predeceased by her husband, Luigi Dezorzi; her parents, Joseph & Julia Repas; her brothers, Joe and Elmer Repas; her sister-in-law, Doryce Repas; and her devoted companion and friend, Bernard “Bennie” Gramacci in 2013.
The Funeral Service honouring and celebrating the full life Ida lived will be held on March 8, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Fantin's Funeral Chapel in Blairmore, AB with Rev. Renso Castellarin officiating. Tributes by the family and Ladies Auxiliary were provided. Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca. Donations in memory of the late Ida Dezorzi would be gratefully accepted towards S.T.A.R.S. Air Ambulance or the Crowsnest Pass Health Fdn.
