Our mother, Gloria Theresa Gyulai Boelke, of Lethbridge, Alberta, passed away on August 9th, 2026 at the age of 86 years to join her eternal husband. She was surrounded by all of her children and loved ones and graced with video calls from those who wished they could be there and wanted to share their love.
She was born on 18th of November, 1939 in Prudhomme, Saskatchewan to Alexander Gyulai and Theresa Hepp. She dedicated her life as a wife, homemaker and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She married Wayne Domier and they had 5 children: Phyllis Oliver(Rob), Terry Domier, Darrell Domier (Debbie), Ron Domier (Shelly), and Allan Domier (Wendy). Gloria married Darrell Finley and they had 2 children together: Darcy Finley (Callie) and Susan Hochstein (Murray). She married Leonard Boelke in 1975 and together they shared 30 wonderful years together in the Crowsnest Pass. After Leonard passed away, Gloria moved to Lethbridge where she welcomed and hosted many family gatherings with her close knit family.
Above all, she was a devoted mother who took immense pride in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her warm heart, her wisdom, creativity and love for learning new hobbies, such as quilting, square dancing and gardening. She could also fix anything that was broken.
She is survived by 7 children, 23 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Also her sisters Agnes, Gladys and her brothers Raymond, Arnold and Norman. She was predeceased by her husband Leonard, her mother and father, her brother Leonard (Gwendolyn), as well as her brothers-in-law Ray (Agnes), and Terry (Gladys).
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 1:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (2805 - 214 St. Bellevue, AB). The internment will be held after the service at the Passburg Cemetery in the Crowsnest Pass.
