Floyd Alvin Thompson of Pincher Creek, Alberta, beloved father of Shirley (Horst) Hass of Pincher Creek; cherished grandfather of Leslie Hass and Paul Hass; great grandfather of Nikolas, Andrew and Emily; and brother of Wes (June) Reynolds of Tumbler Ridge, B.C., passed away en route to the Pincher Creek Health Care Centre on April 26, 2014 at the age of 87 years.
An avid fisherman, hunter and coin collector, Floyd enjoyed many of life's simpler pleasures. He loved his pets, the outdoors and his family. He was greatly admired and will be dearly missed.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Alice; his parents, George & Jessie Thompson; and his two brothers and six sisters.
In accordance with Floyd's final wishes, a private family service will be held at the family homestead at a later date.
