It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Colleen Marie Ross of the Crowsnest Pass on September 27, 2014 at the age of 61 years.
Colleen was born on July 26, 1953 in Fernie, BC to Gordon & Irene Ross and grew up in the small CPR hamlet of Crowsnest, BC.
She grew to be a sociable lady with an adventurous nature. Her determined and somewhat stubborn character allowed her to overcome many of life’s trials. Her thoughtfulness touched the people she loved in many ways.
She enjoyed he simple things in life; nature, spending time at “The Lakes”, walking, going for coffee, country music, photography, crafts and spending time with family and friends.
Colleen was a former member of the Coleman Legion and a loyal and valued member at Mountainview Industries. She loved the celebrations and gatherings especially when she could participate in these events. Colleen was a special person who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
She is survived by her sister, Joanne Proc; her nephew, Derek (Alissa) Proc; her niece, Kristin Proc; and her dear friends and caregivers at Mountainview Industries.
She was predeceased by her parents, Gordon “Shorty” & Irene Ross; her sister, Anne Ross; and her brother-in-law, Mike Proc.
A celebration of her life was held at Fantin's Funeral Chapel in Blairmore with Rev. Renso Castellarin presiding.
