It is with deep sadness that the family of Clara Haslett (Née: Harry) announce her passing on Friday, August 21, 2026. She left this world peacefully in Coleman, Alberta, at the remarkable age of 95.
Clara was born and raised in West Coleman, where she met and married the love of her life, Glenn Haslett. Together they built a loving home and raised five wonderful children. Clara lived a life devoted to her loved ones; she was a dedicated mother, cherished grandmother, and treasured great-grandmother.
She loved to dance and sing, was a voracious reader, and enjoyed a loud political debate. Clara was the heart of the family—a loving, caring woman who brought generations of the family together. She will be fondly remembered for her big laugh and warm heart.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her children Sandra (Dale) Haslett, Bev Cole, Allan (Shelley) Haslett, Candis (Michael) Tadman, and Kelly (Laura) Haslett; her granddaughters Erin, Jodi, Paige, Colleen, and Julia; and great-grandchildren Blair, Charleigh, Laurel, and Brady, as well as nieces, nephews, and friends.
Clara was predeceased by her husband Glenn Haslett, her parents Rose and Andrew Harry, her son-in-law David Cole, four brothers and four sisters.
The family would like to thank the staff at Peaks to Pines Senior’s Lodge for their kind and compassionate care.
Memorial donations may be made to the Peaks to Pines Residents Association (peakstopinesresidents@gmail.com, or PO Box 580 Coleman, AB T0K 0M0). A private family service will be held at a later date. Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
