In loving memory

CHRIS EVANS

(1942-2012)

Mrs. Christine Elizabeth Evans of Hillcrest, Alberta, passed away on October 9, 2012, at the Crowsnest Pass Health Centre in Blairmore, AB, at the age of 70 years.

Chris was born on June 3, 1942, in Germany (East Prussia) to loving parents. At the age of five years, she and her family immigrated to Canada in 1947. They settled directly in Coleman where her father already had work in the mines.

In keeping with her background, Chris grew up to be a true lady whose life exemplified her belief that “you must do everything to the best of your ability.” In 1960, she won the love of “Jack” Evans. They were wed and spent all their married life in Hillcrest. Chris blossomed into a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who lived to love others.

Chris is fondly remembered as a beautiful person, ever a lady who liked to look her best. Gardening gave her much pleasure, as did walking in the woods and picking wildflowers. She loved to read and was always keenly interested in the things that brought joy to her family and friends. Chris was blessed with a strong faith and was a devoted member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Frank. We take comfort in knowing that she is in a state of peace and is now awaiting the Resurrection and the reward of paradise.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Jack Evans; her daughters Tammy Lynn (Marc Theriault) Green and Loralee Ann (Glenn) Kroker; her grandchildren Hollee Eliza (Jay Fornal) Kroker, Morgan Haylee Kroker, Kyle George Green and Cortney Dawn Green; her great-grand-daughter, Emery Elisa Loralee Fornal; her brothers Hans (Louise) Bramer and Bob Bramer, and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Elisa and Vincent Konduchowicz.

The Memorial Service honouring Chris’ memory was held in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 14929 – 20th Avenue, Frank, Alberta, on Sunday, October 14, with Mr. Ken Dase and Mr. David Dewald officiating.

Donations in loving memory of the late Christine Evans will be gratefully received by the Kingdom Hall, Box 734, Blairmore, AB, T0K 0E0.
