It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carmen St. Iver of Coleman, Alberta who, after battling health issues, passed away on October 16, 2014 at home in Coleman, Alberta at the age of 61 years.
Carmen was born on August 6, 1953 in Stouffville, Ontario to proud parents Carman and Linda Stiver.
Carmen was always there to lend a hand to anyone, who needed his help especially to young kids and single moms helping out with groceries and the occasional babysitting. He was great listener if you ever needed to talk to someone, he never judged and this, combined with his sense of humor, made him a very good friend to many. He was an excellent house sitter and loved the opportunity to help out. Even with his many health problems, he always found ways to be optimistic.
Carmen’s passions included watching Football (with the Eskimos being his favorite) and Nascar racing (go #88). Carmen was a member of Nascar Central, a racing pool in the Crowsnest Pass. He was a devoted son, brother and uncle as well as a loyal friend. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
Carmen is survived by his parents; Carman and Linda of Sutton, Ontario, His sister Brenda and Bob Pollock of Lundbreck, Alberta, his niece; Sharlene Pollock of Calgary, Alberta, as well as his extended family and many friends.
