It is with the utmost sadness that we announce the passing of Carl Joseph Thibeau of Blairmore, Alberta. Carl succumbed to heart failure on October 8, 2014 while receiving treatment at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary at the age of 52 years. Throughout this ordeal, he maintained his dignity and sense of humour for the benefit of his beloved family.
Carl was born on December 21, 1961 to Norman and Lucille Thibeau in Shilo, Manitoba. Along with his seven siblings, he was raised to be honest and kind, dedicated and responsible.
He enlisted in the Canadian Department of National Defence and served our country protecting our rights and freedoms here in Canada and spent five years on a tour of Germany and parts of Europe. He was a proud member of the Bellevue Legion and maintained his faith in the Lord and his fellow man.
Carl entered into marriages and was blessed with two children, Alex and Jade, whom he cherished with all his heart. He enjoyed fishing the serene lakes of the Crowsnest Pass and playing his guitar either with a band or just on his own. He had a positive attitude and desired to help anyone and everyone. He never shied away from a job no matter how arduous and made us all laugh and smile almost all the time. Carl will be remembered fondly in our hearts. May he rest in the peace of Christ.
He is survived by his loving companion, Lesa McArthur; his beloved children, Alex Thibeau and Jade Thibeau; his devoted mother, Lucille Thibeau; his seven siblings, Phyllis (Don) Vaters, Shirley Paul, Wayne (Pyrus) Thibeau, Robert (Rose) Thibeau, Janice (Victor) Gallant, Brian (Janet) Thibeau and Michael Thibeau; his numerous nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
He was predeceased by his father, Norman Edward Thibeau.
