BRUNO DUDYS
(1926-2013)
Mr. Bruno Martin Dudys of Coleman, Alberta, beloved husband of Mary Dudys (nee: Kubik), loving father of Jeanette (Trish) Dudys, David Dudys and Marilyn (Gary) Filafilo, cherished grandfather of Justin and Danielle, brother of Anne Sobieraj, uncle of Cathy (Pat) Creighton and family and Richard (Carol) Sobieraj and family, passed away at the age of 86 years.
Bruno was born in Coleman on October 2, 1926 and resided in the Crowsnest Pass, a place he loved. He worked throughout his life at the local mines driving truck, bussing miners to Vicary Mine and various other jobs. His passion in life was exploring the various mountain areas that surround the Pass with special moments of free time spent fly fishing the streams or pursuing big game along some high mountain basin.
Bruno was very fond of animals having several horses and dogs. He would often tell stories of his adventures with his friends as a youth, rounding up and trying to break a wild horse and often getting bucked off in the process.
Bruno’s family was always the core of his happiness and his retirement years were spent helping his children work on their houses, vehicles or whatever needed fixing. “Dad, we’re sure you’re now in a place where the fish are rising in every pool and the land is full of game. Until we meet again, as always, we love you”.
A private family Memorial Mass was held in honour of Bruno’s life at the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Ben Marino as Celebrant.
