BRIAN PATRICK “PAT” COOPER
(1945 – 2012)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Brian Patrick (“Pat”) Cooper, beloved husband of Sue Jane Cooper, surrounded by his loved ones in the peace of his country home in the Crowsnest Pass, on September 1st , 2012, at the age of 66 years. His journey is now over. “Pat jumped on his bike and has taken his last lap.”
Pat was born on November 14, 1945, in Brantford, Ontario, to
Ted and Agnes Cooper. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent a lot of time in our National Parks. Climbing, cycling, cross-country-skiing and back-country skiing were his delights.
He also liked running along the river paths in the Crowsnest Pass with his four-legged friend, Fergus.
Pat is survived by his son Jeff Cooper, of Vancouver B.C.; daughter Andrea (Iain) Wilson of Ottawa, Ontario; step-daughter Sommer (Brad) Burgess, of Edmonton, Alberta; grand-daughter Charlotte and grandson Easton; his mother, Agnes Cooper, and brother Doug Cooper. He was predeceased by his father, Ted Cooper.
The memorial service celebrating Pat’s life will be held at Fantin’s Funeral Chapel in Blairmore, Alberta, on Monday September, 10th, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. A. Christopher Smith officiating.
