In loving memory

Marjorie Erickson

(1924-2013)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marjorie Erickson of Blairmore, Alberta on April 11, 2013 at the Crowsnest Pass Health Care Centre at the age of 88 years.

Marjorie was born on September 6, 1924 in Warman, Saskatchewan to proud parents, Abram and Mary Derkson. Marjorie grew to be a lovely young woman and she captured the heart of a fine young gentleman, Larry Erickson. They pledged their love in holy matrimony on August 31, 1944 and were blessed with a family of five daughters. Marjorie was devoted to her husband and family and inspired them to be loving and kind and to maintain their faith in the Lord through all trials of life. Her sense of humour was amazing and laughter was the common sound in her home. Her talents were many; she excelled at crafts such as knitting, crocheting, cooking & baking and providing a wonderful home.

Marjorie also loved to read and travel with Hawaii being her favourite vacation spot. We take comfort in knowing she has a new favourite paradise and through our faith, we shall all meet again.

Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life include her loving husband Larry Erickson of Blairmore, AB; her children, Dianne Erickson of Surrey, BC, Vicki (Dan) Mulligan of Langley, BC, Bonnie (Randy) Bogen of Coleman, AB, Debbie Jervis of Coleman, AB and Margo (Rick) Klymchuk of Peace River, AB; her grandchildren, Larry (Tiffany) Smith, Tammie (Bob) Wilson, Ronda McLean, Lance Letain, Harlan Jervis, Kyle Klymchuk, Amanda (Dave) Krembil, Chelsey Klymchuk; cherished great grandchildren Jesse McLean , David Smith, Amanda Smith, Scott McLean and Lauren Krembil; her sister, Doris Knight of Revelstoke; numerous nieces & nephews, extended family and friends. With respect for the family’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca and donations in memory directed towards the Alzheimer’s Society, 402, 740-4th Avenue, S, Lethbridge, AB T1J 0N9.
