It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Amber Jean Van Loon, former resident of Bellevue, Alberta who recently resided in North Vancouver, BC, who was called to be with the Lord on April 4, 2014 in North Vancouver. She celebrated her 48 years of a full life.

Amber Van Loon was born on June 7, 1965 in Blairmore, Alberta to proud parents Benny “Buddy” and Edith Van Loon. Amber was the youngest of 6 siblings and raised with great appreciation for family and to care for those in need. She blessed with beauty inside and out and was admired greatly within this community. Amber was blessed with a son whom she cherished. As a single parent, she did her best to raise her son with an unconditional and eternal love. She provided for her family utilizing her gracious and generous nature; Amber cared for autistic and disabled children nurturing their lives and maintaining their well-being. She brought out the best in each and every one inspiring them to achieve more and be happy.

Amber truly loved spending time with family during the Christmas holidays when all would gather together. She had a great love for all her brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Amber will be remembered for her caring nature and thoughtfulness and will be greatly missed by all.

Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life include her loving son, Colin Van Loon Lyttle of Vancouver, BC; her brothers, George (Randy) Van Loon of Claresholm, Lee (Theresa) Van Loon of Bellevue, William Van Loon of Red Deer; her sisters, Mary (Brad) Harris of Lethbridge and Doris Van Loon of Bellevue; her uncle, James North Peigan; her nieces, Shelly Van Loon, Lee-Anne Van Loon (Peter Beauregard), Beatrice Harris, Chey-Anne Harris and Hailey Van Loon; her nephews, Billy (Cassandra) Van Loon and Benjamin Van Loon; her great nephews and nieces, Jay Cee Torche Van Loon and Abby, Rowdy & Tryin Van Loon; her cousins, John (Karen) Haluck, Robert Lee Morin, John Haluck Jr., Bonnie Lee and numerous cousins from the North Peigan family.

She was predeceased by her parents Benny “Buddy” and Edith Van Loon.

A Public Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 7pm at Fantin's Funeral Chapel in Blairmore, AB. The Funeral Service was held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Fantin's Funeral Chapel with family member and Pastor Manfred North Peigan officiating. Donations in memory of the late Amber Van Loon will be gratefully accepted by the Canadian Addison Society (193 Elgin Avenue West Goderich, Ontario N7A 2E7) or to the ASPCA (P.O. BOX 725, Blairmore, AB). Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
