In loving memory
ALLAN WALL
(1965-2013)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Allan Stanley Wall who died after complications of a knee surgery on January 4, 2013 in Kamloops, British Columbia at the age of 47 years.
Allan was born and educated in Blairmore, Alberta. Allan was a gifted athlete and sportsman excelling in nearly every sport he attempted and he demonstrated amazing talent and passion for hockey. At the young age of fifteen years, he was drafted by the Merritt Centennials Hockey team. He fell in love with that part of the country and decided to make it his home. He moved to Kamloops, BC to operate his own contracting business. He attended Langora & Douglas College in Vancouver studying Business Administration. He was awarded the “All Canadian Certificate of Excellence” in recognition of distinguished performance in the field of hockey.
In recent years, Allan was independently involved in the Forestry business in BC. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and never missed the opportunity to place a friendly wager on the outcome of some game or sporting event. Allan had a keen sense of humour and infectious zest for life. He will be dearly missed by all those who loved him and whose lives he was a part of.
Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life include his parents, Stanley & Mary “Meechie” Wall; his sister, Darlene (Dale) Holtz; his brother, David (Merri Ann) Wall; his nephews, Skyler and Colten Holtz, Zachary and Ethan Wall; his cherished and long time companion, Kory Svean and her two daughters, Chelsey & Kassi and special granddaughter, Shaye; and several cousins, aunts, uncles and the many close friends he made throughout his lifetime.
The Memorial Service honouring Allan’s life was held on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Holy Trinity R.C. Church in Blairmore with Rev. Janni Belgum of the Grace Anglican United Church officiating. Tributes were provided by family members and friends.
