"Great" Auntie Nata,

From the moment I met her at the tender age of four I was truly smitten. Her melodic voice, her sparkling eyes, her warm, gentle, and caring ways made me feel something I'd never quite experienced before that day or will ever forget. That never changed over the 51 years I was blessed to know her.

Auntie Nata's unique gift of making people feel deeply special and approved of was given freely and easily to so many people and especially, in her last year, to those 'older folks' in the nursing home :)). She, one could easily say, well earned her PHD degree in loving kindness.

During the last week of her life, I spent a good amount of time with her at the hospital in Calgary. I read to her, massaged her and we sometimes shared stories of the past when she was able to talk. One day in the heart of a very tender conversation we were having I asked her what message she most wanted to leave for others in this world. Without missing a beat she responded, "Just be kind to one another because in the end my dear, that is all that really matters."

It's truly hard to believe that 3 years have come and gone since she left us but like many others I am sure, I can still feel her angel wings often.

"Wrote your name in the sky but the wind blew it away. I wrote your name in the sand but the waves washed it away. I wrote your name into my heart, and forever it will stay."

With much love to all who still miss her and loved her as much as I did.
Lee-ann

Dear Lee, Jim, and Gina,
Very belated condolences on the passing of your beautiful mother - she was a true lady and an angel on earth long before God called her home.
I would ask, please, to be notified of her celebration of life as I would dearly like to attend.
Know she is not very far away and now you enter a relationship of a different kind.
My love to you all............susan

WOW! What a send off yesterday. I know Aunty is so proud of her children and Jen too! We are all so fortunate to have had Aunty in our lives. When I think about her I think about her mom Grandma Roaie and how much like her, she was. We will always remember her most lovingly.

Dearest Nata, & Family
This queen wore her crown well. Today she would like to address with love and joy her children and grand-children :
Lee, the firstborn - the red haired daughter who held that prominent place in the home: the firstborn. . You did this very seriously and with great talent. A small mimic of Doodles made her love for you extra special.  Your mother: daughter bond made  the  relationship remarkable.

James, you were the son of the family, the living image of Doodles always full of fun and laughter. The twinkle in both your eyes brings fond memories of the Milvain’s. Her love for you and for Doodles was extreme.

Gina, the Tiny Tot, the image of Nata , beautiful but not conceited in any way.  Your laughing eyes, black hair and olive skin made her chest puff forward in pride. In Gina, she showed the most unselfish side: how much that queen shared this princess with us and our family.   Do you remember  the trips to Creston, the matchbox caterpillars that became our summer babies; the little Austin car piled high with luggage and five people- but we always found room for you.  We all owe her so much for those memories.    .
.
The three of you grew up in this loving family, - one of the tightest net groups some will ever experience the pride of knowing and loving.  We do. And even as tight as that you all found room in your hearts for us.

The next generation, the grandchildren.  Danny, the grandson who she cherished and longed for your Canadian visits with your beautiful wife Aya and her parents whom she adored. .
Last but certainly not least, your granddaughter,

Jennifer.  Here was truly the apple of your eye the one you learned on, the one you loved, the one who cared for your every need. There will be extra rewards in Heaven for her.  She fought hard the battles of your illness, done with such love and caring – but ever stern with anyone who did not get your care right.
We will always remember that last Sunday morning we spent with you and the family as we recalled special times with you all.  You laid back comfortable in your bed, your eyes drifting to each one, as you seemed to be taking pictures in your mind for eternity.  We all did the same- trying not to smother you with our love as we longed to do.  We knew the angels were hovering, waiting to take this angel home.  Today, you are walking on the streets of gold,   Think of the gathering! As they all welcomed you home with the Lord,  You joined the circle that has been broken to make it a little more complete.  One day, when all of us have left this world behind we will complete the circle that can never be broken.  Your work on the earth is done.  Now just relax and enjoy the rewards of a life well lived.
We love you, we will miss you but we must let you go. .  Until we meet again.

You're my bread when I am hungry
You’re my shelter from the troubled winds
You’re my anchor in life’s ocean
But most of all, you’re my best Friend

With all our love to each one of you

I am so sad to hear of Nata's passing. What a truly dynamic lady she was.
Always so kind and smiling. God Bless her and her family in this trying time.
Time does not take away grief, it changes it. Embrace the grief which tells of your love for her, then let it change to fond and wonderful memories.

All I can say is WOW to all the family members to have known such a wonderful human being and I am so sorry for your loss If every person in this world had known her this world would be a much better place and I am fortunate enough to have been one of those persons. If I had been alone in this world I would always have had one great lady that loved me. Want an honor.
