April 3, 1942 ~ August 4, 2017 (age 75) 75 Years Old

NANCY  MIILLER

(1942-2017)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy Carol Miiller of Blairmore, Alberta who was called to be with our Lord on August 4, 2017 while receiving compassionate care at the Crowsnest Pass Health Care Centre.  She was graced with 75 years of a full and wonderful life.

Born on April 3, 1942 in Arcata, California to parents Stephen and Alberta Woodbury, Nancy was raised with an appreciation for family and friendship.  As she blossomed into a lovely and kind young lady, she was blessed with marriage and a family to nurture and love.  She experienced many trials and challenges as well accomplishments and gained wisdom and peace through it all.  She found enjoyment in several hobbies: reading, travelling, movies, eating at restaurants and later in life, her commitment to her church and the Catholic Women’s League. Nancy was a modest and generous individual who will forever be remembered for her kindness and unconditional love. May she find peace in eternal paradise and comfort in the knowledge that she remains forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her children, Steven (Adi) Dow of Yuba City, California, David (Denise) Dow of Snohomish, Washington, Angela (Sammy) Marra of Blairmore and Gord MacDonald of Vancouver; her precious grandchildren, Kayla, Nicole, Ryan, Derek, Katlyne, Heather, and Sydney; her sisters, Patty Bruner of Live Oak, California, and Barbra Mahoney of Clearlake, California; her nieces and nephews: Teresa (Gary) Oefinger, Mary (Michael) Kelly, Tommy (Patty) Curtis and Andy (Mashell) Dalton; her in-laws, George and Nancy MacDonald and the MacDonald family; her life-long friend, Carol (Nick) Wasylien; as well as her many friends and extended family.

She was predeceased by her spouse, Joe Miiller; parents, Alberta & Stephen Woodbury; sister, Jean Curtis; brothers-in-law, Richard Bruner and Tom Curtis; and nephew, Tony Dalton.

The Memorial Mass celebrating Nancy’s life was held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Blairmore, AB with Fr. Ben Marino as Celebrant assisted by Deacon Renso Castellarin.
