It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother; Helen Sikora, formerly of Coleman, Alberta at the age of 93. Mom passed away peacefully on November 12, 2015 at her daughter Helen’s home with her family by her side.
She was born May 27, 1922 in Bellevue, Alberta; she married her husband John Sikora May 10, 1940 and enjoyed 55 years of marriage.
Our mother loved animals, camping, fishing, playing crib, bingo and enjoyed reminiscing about old times.
She was always a strong pillar and focal point for our family. Mother enjoyed life; was proud of her health and her ability to raise twelve children.
Mom will be dearly missed and forever loved by her twelve children; Anna, Tony (Corrie), Dennis (Edith), Joan (Jim), Jim, Bill, Gloria, John, Peter (Debbie), Helen (Frank), Rose (Brian) and Joe (Holly). 24 grandchildren and 16, great grandchildren
She was predeceased by her husband; John in 1995; grandson, Mikey Sikora, and her Chihuahua, Missy.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the Passburg Cemetery. After the service a Celebration of Life will be held at the Kanata Hotel in Blairmore, Alberta.
