Gary Steven Beaton

   It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Beaton of Coleman, Alberta on May 7, 2016 surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his home.  He was 66 years of age.

   Gary was born on January 9, 1950 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to proud parents Bentley and Gertrude Beaton.  He grew up to be a dashing young man who enjoyed playing guitar and socializing with friends, and was an active and proud member of the Coleman branch of the Royal Canadian Legion.  Gary will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

   He is survived by his beloved partner, Betty Harker; his devoted sons, Darrell (Christie Davidson) Beaton, Wayne (Crystal) Beaton and Brian Beaton; his cherished grandchildren, Drew Beaton, Chris Burden, Claire Blimkie and Carter Davis-Beaton; his brothers, Ronald Beaton, Bruce (Barbara) Beaton and Terry (Cathy) Beaton; his sisters, Joan Beaton, Evelyn (Gary McDowell) Beaton, Sandra Beaton and Leslie (Carol) Beaton; extended family; and the many friends that he made throughout his life.

   He was predeceased by his parents, Bentley and Gertrude Beaton; his brothers, Donald Beaton, Patrick Beaton, Kenneth Beaton and Malcolm Beaton; and his sisters, Mildred Compton and Marlene Beaton.

   A Celebration of Life will be held at Gary’s home on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 2pm.  Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
