Deborah Michele Girardi

   It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Deborah Girardi of Coleman, AB on December 16, 2016 at the Taber Health Care Centre, Taber, AB.  She was 60 years of age.

   Deborah was born on September 2, 1956 in Blairmore, AB to proud parents, Dick and Joy Girardi.  She grew up surrounded by nature at the Coleman Ranger Station, and she cherished the memories of the many adventures she experienced there her entire life.

   In her free time, Deborah enjoyed knitting and, when her daughters were young, she was an active volunteer with Brownies.  She was also an avid animal lover, especially horses, and some of her happiest times were spent horseback riding.  More than anything else, Deborah adored her family and she treasured time spent with them.  Her kind, caring spirit will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

   Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are her children, Richard (Carmen) Bannick of Bon Accord, AB, Teresa (Dave) Smith of Prince George, BC and Christina (Claiton) Pierson of Taber, AB; her partner, Roy Schufle of Coleman, AB; her grandchildren, Cierra, Kadin, Justine, Alexis and Taya; her great grandchild, Azaya; her brothers, Cam Girardi of Blairmore, AB and Victor Girardi of Edmonton, AB; her sisters, Lynn (Doug) Makeiv of Bellevue, AB and Judith (Darryl) Snowdon of Lundbreck, AB; as well as her extended family and many friends.

   She was predeceased by her parents, Dick and Joy Girardi.

   A special thank you to the staff at the Crowsnest Pass and Taber Health Care Centers for their compassionate care of Deborah.
