Welcome to the memorial page for

Sylvia (Graham-Smith) McInulty

August 21, 1938 ~ November 28, 2016 (age 78) 78 Years Old

It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Sylvia McInulty of Blairmore, AB on November 28, 2016 at the Crowsnest Pass Health Care Centre, Blairmore, AB.  She was 78 years of age.

Sylvia was born in Durham County, England on August 21, 1938 to loving parents, Albert and Ethyle Graham-Smith.  Along with her siblings, she was raised to have a strong work ethic and to cherish those you love.  As a young woman, she captured the heart of a handsome gentleman, James McInulty, and the happy couple married on March 25, 1961.  In 1970, they moved their young family from England to Canada, and in 2000 they settled in the Crowsnest Pass.  During their almost 53 year marriage, Sylvia and James created countless beautiful memories.

In her free time, Sylvia could be found doing word searches to keep her mind sharp, or outside enjoying her lovely backyard.  She was also a classic movie expert and a talented crafter.  (Many of her festive wreaths and other Christmas decorations are proudly displayed and cherished by her family.)  Sylvia was devoted to her family, and she took great pride in creating a loving, immaculate home for them.  She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life is her son, Graham (Mary) McInulty of Mossleigh, AB; her daughter, Linda (Curtis Bier) McInulty of Blairmore, AB; her granddaughter, Kristen (Travis) Gobeil of Calgary; her brother, John (Marion) Graham-Smith of Australia; her sister, Sandra (Colin) Cooper of England; special friends, Johnny and Jacquie MacPhee and Nancy Graham of Calgary, AB; and her beloved canine companion, Bazil.

She was predeceased by her husband, James McInulty; her parents, Albert and Ethyle; her grandson, Greg McInulty; and her brothers, Cyril and Eddie of England.

With respect for Sylvia’s wishes, no funeral service will be held.  Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted by the Alberta Lung Association (P. O. Box 4500, Station South, Edmonton, AB T6E 9Z9).  Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
