Marko Piero Gfrerer

MARKO PIERO GFRERER, beloved son of Peter and Sophia Gfrerer, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, November 12th, 2016 at the age of 40 years.

Mark was born Feb 11, 1976 and was blessed with a strong character and generous nature. He loved sports, especially football and mixed martial arts and enjoyed listening to music and caring for animals - he was very proud to have started a foundation for animal rescue. His dogs, Caesar and Tyson, meant the world to him. Mark touched the lives of all those who knew him, he was a compassionate gentle giant and was a honourable and loyal man who was devoted to his family and friends and deeply believed in helping those in need.  We will sincerely miss him.

Mark was predeceased by his sister Victoria, and survived by his parents, Peter and Sophia Gfrerer, his sisters, Maria (Mike) Gfrerer of Calgary and Charlotte (Brian) Buckler, and nieces, Nicole and Alicia of Calgary.

The Memorial Mass will be held Friday, November 25, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 2405-12 Ave S, Lethbridge, with Father Lucas  officiating.  Reception and tributes to follow in the banquet hall.  The committal service will held in the Mountain View Cemetery at a later date.
