William Richard Blanchette

   It is with sadness that we announce the passing of William “Bill” Blanchette of Elkford, BC on August 8, 2023.  He was 73 years of age.

   Bill was a hardworking man whose successful career as an electrician allowed him to be an excellent provider for his family.  In his free-time, and later in retirement, he enjoyed photography and woodworking.  More than anything, Bill cherished time spent with his family - especially his grandchildren.  He was a kind, thoughtful, loyal person who will deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.    

   Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life are his children, Rick (Kayleigh) Blanchette and Amanda (Keegan) DeSteur; his grandchildren, Gage, Kiana and Holly; his siblings, Judy (Neal), Glenn (Lynn), Gerry, Alan (Edna) and Deborah (Steve); and his dear friend, Faith.

   He was predeceased by his parents, Rudolph & Ella; his son, Terry; and his granddaughter, Hailey-Lynn.

  A private service will be held.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be gratefully accepted by the Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca), or Diabetes Canada (www.diabetes.ca).  Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
