With immense sadness we announce the passing of Thomas “Tom” Dennis Pounder on May 6, 2026. He was 66 years of age.
Known for his hardworking and hard-nosed nature, Tom was an excellent provider who took great pride in caring for those he loved. He was a loyal friend, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, and someone others could depend on. Over the years, he was also a father figure to many who crossed his path.
On October 6, 1990, Tom married Janice Sinclair. Together they built a strong, loving family and created countless wonderful memories. A proud father and an even prouder papa, Tom found his greatest joy in time spent with his family. Outside of his work and family life, Tom enjoyed his truck, his motorbike, and was always willing to stop and visit with everyone he ran into. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life is his wife, Janice Pounder; his children, Beth (Devin) Gergel, Ben (Nicole) Pounder, Courtney (Sam) Evanoff, Sam Pounder, Robert (Darby) Pounder and Mathew (Meaghan) Pounder; his grandchildren, Logan, Mylo, Lewis, Georgia, Tess, Dani, Theo, Sully, Collin and Brylee; his sisters, Tracy, Terri, Toni and Trish; as well as numerous nephews, nieces and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Polish Hall (1406 – 82 St., Coleman, AB) on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 1:00pm. Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
