Roland Benjamin Anderson

   With sadness, we announce the passing of Roland Benjamin Anderson on March 18, 2026, at Extendicare Fairmont Park, Lethbridge, AB.  He was 89 years of age.

   Roland was born on February 6, 1937, in Estevan, SK to parents Mary and Benjamin Anderson.  On August 24, 1957, he married the love of his life, Alice Cyr.  Over the next sixty-one years, they raised a lovely family and made countless wonderful memories.

   Roland was a dedicated husband and father who provided for his family by working for Kirk's Tire and then for the City of Lethbridge as a transit driver until his retirement in 1997.  At this time, he and Alice moved to Hillcrest Mines, AB where they enjoyed all the mountain community had to offer, especially camping with family.  Roland was truly loved and he will be missed by all.

   His family wishes to extend special thanks to all the staff and doctors at Extendicare Fairmont Park for their exceptional care.

    Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life are his children, Daniel (Angel), Louise (Steven), Darlene (Joe) and James (Stacey); fifteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

   He was predeceased by his wife, Alice; his daughter, Diane; and his grandson, Jeff.
