Richard Perley Curtis

August 7, 1939 ~ August 17, 2023 (age 84) 84 Years Old

Obituary

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Richard “Goose” Curtis of Crowsnest Pass, AB on August 17, 2023.  He was 84 years of age.

Goose was a very hard-working man who had a successful career as a carpenter which enabled him to own and operate his own business.  He was very proud of some of the jobs that he had done in the Salt Lake City area and the southern states.  In his spare time he loved to pick up his guitar and play songs and sing.  He even wrote his own music which he would share with his family.  Some of his most cherished times were spent surrounded by his family.  He also loved to be in the outdoors, whether it be on the flat prairies or in the mountains.  He loved the scenery that was there to enjoy.  One of his greatest joys was to get up early to watch the sunrise.  Goose was very proud of all of his children and especially loved all of the little grandchildren and kids that he came into contact with.  He was a loyal and dedicated man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life is his wife, Mona Curtis; his children, Clay (Connie) Sant, Christine Eskelson, Amber (Don) Byrtus and Jennifer (Paul) Anaya; his stepchildren, Larry (Cindy) Sant, Cindy (Greg) Graham, Trudy Koehn and Velma (Mike) Sant-Anderson; his grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Nathan, Amanda, Samantha, Alexandra, Taylor, Nicole, Jessica, Branden, Justin, Diana, Kyle Trevor, Stephanie, Amanda, Eric, Samantha, Dillon and Rebecca; as well as several great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, Norman and Violet Curtis; his son, Clinton Curtis; and his daughters, Tracy Curtis and Kareen Booth.

A private graveside service will be held.  Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
